Ethan moves from Basket to Crib/Cot!!

I can't believe that I forgot to mention this great move.
While Papa and Mama Zee were visiting, Ethan outgrew his moses basket. How did we find out? We'll he likes to kick upon waking and his legs would also proopel him upwards which would result in his head bumping into the top of the basket and crying would ensue.
So, Adam and I moved him to our bed where he slept for only 3 nights.

Why so short? We'll Ethan would roll over onto his back, lift his legs at a 90 degree angle and slam them down on the bed while asleep or awake. Mom and dad would get quite a wake up call at all hrs of the evening. (Maybe he'll have a career in Pro Wrestling)

So we moved the crib/cot into our room and he adjusted to it straight away. Me not so much, since I am used to waking up every few hrs to check on him and he was no longer just beside me on the bed. I must say I felt a little sad without him being so close by but Adam and I slept really well that night.
He now sleeps through the evening and often turns himself around in his sleep. It's quite funny to see him head on the right, then next when I check on him, he's perpendicular and then when I wake up in morning, his head is on the left side of the crib.
We look forward to more cot/crib antics!
Ta for now!

Mothercare Shopping Craze

Hey All,
This past Thursday, while coming home from playgroup, Ethan and I spotted two large vans unloading tons of boxes of Mothercare clothes at a nearby small shopping plaza. When we got home sure enough there was a flyer in the mailbox telling us of the massive sale. Yesterday, A-ma, Ethan and I were there at 11am sharp and managed to pick up short sleeve bodysuits and sleepsuits from 3-6 months all the way up to 18-24 months so Ethan is pretty much set for the next two years. We'll only be needing a couple of shorts, pants, cardigans/sweaters, long sleeve body suits maybe some overalls (Dungarees) and socks in the future. We also picked up some cool toys and rattles which daddy picked out and a play pen.

It was a good thing the sale came along since the sleep suits Auntie Kelsey sent us (which fit fine until this week- Ethan's growing like a weed) are too small for his long body.

And we must mention that:
Ethan is more and more fun to play with everyday. We have discovered that rubbing your face back and forth on his belly will make him smile like crazy!

Wow.. the house is too quiet.

( Sorry Ethan. Yer Daddy took this pic not mommy!)

Mama and Papa Zee have returned the UK and Ethan and I have already noticed that it is a little too quiet in the house. Adam has gone back to work but as soon as he comes home, he plays with Ethan while I get dinner ready.

Yesterday and today, Ethan and I went out with A-ma to run a few errands. We picked up a crib/cot mirror for Ethan which has a dangly fish and plays music.

Also, Ethan slept for almost 10hrs in his crib/cot last night. I think it was due to him sleeping on his front and sides. Today he's been pretty sleepy too so maybe he'll keep us awake tonight.
Oh and the best news of all, is that Adam's headaches/migraines are happening less frequently.

Everyday, I cherish the time I have with Ethan. I can't believe that in another 3-4 weeks, i'll be dropping him off at the nanny's before going to work. (Sniff..sniff..wahhhhhhhhhh) It will definately be harder on me since Ethan is so good with everyone. Trying to be strong!

Lots of love,

Joanne
