Videos of Ethan

Hey all, If you wanna check out Ethan on video you can go to http://picasaweb.google.com/pixie1115. Joanne and Adam

Poor Ethan's caught a cold.

Well,

Friday, we picked Ethan up from the nanny's and noticed his nose was running but he was still in pretty good spirits but it quickly got a bit worse as sneezing and a bit of a cough started. It is most likely that he caught it from me since people at work are sick and coughing. I've got the sniffles and a bit of a cough. A-ma also has a cough and Gong Gong has a sore throat and a bad cold too but since they haven't been in contact with Ethan for the last two days , it 's not them.

The weekend was a bit tiring for Adam and I since our usual angel wasn't feeling his utmost best and upon waking from any naps or sleeps, he would give a heartwrenching, and incredibly loud cry as if to say "WHY DO I FEEL SO CRAPPY? Mommy and Daddy make me feel better NOW!"

Saturday morning he awoke in this manner, accompanied by a cough and a sneeze that expelled a whole bunch of snot (mucus) all over the bottom part of his face. He was NOT pleased at all. So we've been using facial cotton wipes to wipe his nose and have been giving him lots of water along with breastmilk. He seems to know that he needs more water to keep hydrated since he drinks it like a fish. He wasn't up to his normal happy self Saturday morning but like all colds- you seem to feel alot better as the day goes on and that was exactly the same with Ethan. We tried to get him to sleep but he was up for "his daily exercise routines" and showmanship by late afternoon.

I guess the benefits of us both being sick is that he is getting the antibodies from me through the breastmilk. His recovery time seems to be alot faster than mine.

Sunday faired even better and daddy and I took him out in the afternoon to get him a new play mat/gym since he has managed to rip the toys off their ribbons on the old one.(Sheesh, maybe we should enroll him in an arm wrestling course)

Below are pictures of his new gym (called the Gymini Super Deluxe- Lights and Music) taken from the website http://www.tinylove.com. I know you would rather see Ethan than this baby but since we only got the gym yesterday and he's a bit under the weather, we didn't want to make him feel worse by putting him through a photo session.

Just to let you know, even though the toys are on those plastic rings, he still manages to pull them off- ahaahaha. The gym is quite marvelous in that it plays 1o minutes of mozart at a time and then he has to smack the green part by the flowers for it to continue. Oh and the flowers light up too.

You can also change it to play nursery rhymes as well.

On the mat, there are crinkly bits, squeaky bits, things to grab hold of and everything you see the baby doing in the pictures below, Ethan can do now too.

We were really lucky- since we went to 4 different baby stores and the one down the street from us had the cheapest price- 1950nt- which works out to be 29 pounds. The regular price is over 2500nt. This is a good investment now that Ethan is already 7.2kg and his bouncy chair has a weight limit of 8kg.

Also, we can be sure that Ethan is getting stimulated while he's at the nanny Tang's.

Speaking of Nanny Tang. After hearing that Adam and I were quite tired from taking care of Ethan during the weekend, she offered to take him for the night and let us get a good night's rest. Although it is really sweet, i'm certain that we wouldn't sleep a wink since we'd be wondering what Ethan would be up to-despite knowing he is in excellent hands. She is so kind and thoughtful. As well, she has offered to look after him until after Adam and I eat dinner during the week but we don't want to impose. She is truly a blessing!

We asked her if we could take her picture to post on this site but she politely refused. She said that when she smiles her eyes disappear and she doesn't like the way it looks. Haha! It's true. She has crows feet wrinkles at the corners of her eyes and when she smiles, her eyes turn into little crescents. I'm still trying to work out a way to get her picture so that you can all see how wonderful she is with Ethan. Her kindness literally shines in her face.

Okay, this has got to be the longest post i've written and your eyes are probably getting tired of looking at the screen so as soon as we get more pics on the camera, the sooner i'll put them on the site.

Oh and by the way, i'm feeling much better- guess it just took a week or so of adjusting on my part to get use to being away from Ethan. Ok. Ok. I'm going!!!!
Luv to you all,

Joanne

Okay Here is our little BALDY!!!

Ethan looking a bit cute- I bet he is thinking - "WHERE IS MY HAIR?!!!?"

That little cut under his nostril was self inflicted- he has learned that his finger fits into his nose and that his nails are sharp.(I have to file them every day!!)

Daddy did it!

Okay, so Adam was being silly one day after changing Ethan's nappy and now we know what Ethan will look like with glasses. Hmm... what do you think? Intellectual? I don't think Ethan looks too pleased, not to mention daddy didn't pull down his shirt- ahaahah

Our Commando in action

Here is our little commando, Ethan at about 3 and half months, with a full top of hair. He's playing with his gym which has now been reduced to two empty arches because he has pulled off all the toys- litterally ripped them off their ribbons.
