Ethan wants to wrap his stuffed toys.

Today was the very first time Ethan showed an interest in the wrap since I got it. He went back upstairs and dragged the wrap down - no small task as its 4.5meters long- and asked me to wrap up his monkey on the back of duck. Very cute.
All morning he has been roll playing - wet wiping his stuffed animals and putting training pants on them.
We have started potty training in earnest now and he only ever wears nappies during naptime and for the evening.
This afternoon, we went to Stay and Play at the Looking Well in Bentham and he managed to wet 4 pairs of training pants in an 1hr and half. Too much fun playing. LOL.
The washing machine and dryer are getting a workout...hee hee.

Decorating cookies!

Helen and Erin came over yesterday morning and the kids had an amazing time, painting, creating playdough sculptures and best of all decorating their digestive biscuits into masterpieces.
My masterpiece.
Helen's masterpiece
Ethan at work. Erin at work.Erin's masterpieces. Ethan eating his masterpiece.
Eating the decorations straight out of the bowl.
Eating his masterpiece.
We meant to bake sugar cookies and then ice them but the dough wasn't hard enough to roll out so after Helen and Erin left to go home for lunch and we had a bit of lunch outselves. Then Ethan was off for nap.
I got to work rolling out cookie dough and baking away , I pulled the last tray out of the oven just as Ethan was waking up. After a cookie count- we all were a bit astonished when the number of cookies came to 98!!! (Those piles are 4-5 cookies high!)
We gave Mamazee and Papazee a quick call and gave them 30 biscuits or so.
Now as Ethan has gone to bed, I was meaning to ice the cookies but I think they'll have to wait one more day.

We were impressed at how fast he ate this!

(Mon afternoon- Tuesday night) Our little boy couldn't stand or walk!!!

The last three days have been a bit worrying as while we were playing at Sophie, Daniel and Samuel's house in Skipton, Ethan suddenly couldn't support himself on his right leg. We drove back home and after consulting the doctor and Mamazee, gave him some paracetemol. An hour later, still no change so we took him in to see the doctor. By then the paracetemol kicked in and he was walking and running about. In any case the doctor checked him over and no broken bones or any pain or swelling. When we got home, shortly after dinner, he couldn't stand up again. We think he must have pulled a muscle when maybe I was learning a new wrap carry but for 2.5 days, he could only scoot on his butt which was a bit heartbreaking. He's now fully recovered ND he was completely unfazed as scooting was quite a quick method of getting around. LOL. Tuesday we went into Preston and I wrap carried him the entire time we were there and did our grocery shop. I must say it was lovely to be close to him for a whole day. And he stayed dry in his training pants almost the entire time! Only once did he have an accident! WAY TO GO!!!! Our visit to Sophie's was great and he had a great time playing and watching Playhouse Disney- hehe, until the incident- forgot to take pics again....

Ethan's carrot and the potato soup we made with them!

We planted seeds in May and harvested our carrots. They were a special variety that have the shape of radishes/turnips. Ours came out a bit special as you can see from the photos. HEHE!
