This past weekend had been great since Ethan would wake up about 6:00- 7:00am , have a bottle and play a bit, then we'd both go and nap for 3 hrs to wake up refreshed for the afternoon!
So around 11:30pm on Sunday, the sun was shining and it was absolutely gorgeous so we went to the Science Museum Park. We had a huge walk for an hr or more and got some wonderful sunshine and fresh air.
Afterwards, we dropped by Caves Bookstore and Ethan crawled around the carpeted room they have for storytellers and guest speakers. We didn't stay too long since, bookstore patrons and kids were quietly reading and Ethan kept trying to grab the magazines or books off the chairs or crawling over to play with the other kids drink bottles.
For lunch, we went over to A-ma's and Gong Gong's and later to a toy store in Dali that had cheap fisherprice knockoffs made in China. We decided the quality wasn't very good so no new toys for Ethan. He isn't lacking in the toy area since last Friday after looking at Sandy's blog, I went to Toys R Us and picked him up this.

It's called Follow Me Friend and when you push it, it rolls away to laughter and music so Ethan can chase after it. Unfortunately, it doesn't roll far enough so Ethan catches up fairly quickly and whips it further in whichever direction he likes. Good thing, its pretty sturdy.
He also got two toy telephones the previous Sunday.
This is the fake knockoff fisher price telephone that squeaks when it rolls and rings a bell when you dial the numbers. It doesn't have the cord. (1st picture)

Then there is the real Fisher Price Counting Friends phone. So like I said. Ethan is not suffering from lack of toys. Of course , I get more fun out of his toys than he does. This phone says "Hello", "How are you?" and "I love talking to you!"mwhen you pick up the reciever and goodbye when you put it down. Then, when you press the keys, it recites the numbers. If the Phone
book is open, it makes animal noises and if you press the numbers while the phone book is open, the animal noises equal the number you pressed. Great Fun. It also plays music as well so our living room is pretty noisy.
He still prefers his piano. It is by far his favorite toy in the world. It is now in standing position so he can lever himself up and stand and play it.
He has also managed to pull the foam puzzle mats that are half covering our entertainment center and drag the Sony Playstation off its shelf not to mention the DVD's set along another shelf. So those have be since been relocated to a place where he is unable to reach...I hope.
All in all, it was a pretty fantastic weekend for the both of us.
