Mommy and daddy have been very busy now that I can crawl, kneel, sit up slap and throw things away all by myself!
I love to bring everything to my mouth for a taste and then throw it far away. It's really fun to watch mom and dad go and pick up my toys all the time.
Peekaboo is really starting to make me laugh and when you try to hide something, I will go and look for it.
Bathtime is fun because when I slap my hands down water goes EVERYWHERE!! Diaper changing time is even more fun because just as mommy or daddy gets rid of the old diaper, I turn on my front and crawl away really fast. Sometimes, i'm really good and the both of them have to catch me and get me dressed. Actually being naked is my favorite... so carefree!
I like taking walks (which is me in the baby carrier- the stroller (push car) is no fun because I actually have to sit or lie there and watch things. I'd much rather be legs and arm free so I can kick and wave about and try to make mommy look funny when she walks with me attached to her front.
I also love trying to crawl off my safe sponge floor mats onto the marble tiled floor. A few times, I have managed to get pretty far before mommy and daddy pick me up and bring me back to the mats. (They are spoil sports).
I also am practicing to be half dog. I will take my teething keys which are on a plastic ring and put the ring in my mouth, then crawl around and find other things to play with.
Christmas was quiet and I really liked Mama and Papa Zee's toy car but between you and me, the gift wrapping paper was much tastier.
On New Year's eve, I decided to open -mouth - drool kiss mommy many times to the laughter of daddy. Then both mommy and me got really sick with a bad cold on New Year's day. I had to take medicine to help me breathe better ( I made a show about not liking it but it tasted like grapes. We are all better now.
My hair is growing back nicely and just in time for the cooler weather that is suppose to be coming soon.
I'm also eating different things besides baby food like grapes, potato, tomato and I even tried smoked salmon which is yummy. Eating is fun and I like mouthing the sides of my high chair after eating baby food since making a mess is so much fun. (There have even been times where I have stuck my hand into the food bowl and a coupletimes I managed to smack the bowl with food in onto the floor. Mommy laughed at the time but not when she had to clean it up.
Mommy and Daddy want me to tell you that I have 6 teeth now. Four on top and two on the bottom. (There, ok?? I said it!) I love to grind them together to make mom and dad cringe. It's great fun.
Oh and I want to let Mama and Papa Zee know that I am continuing the line of Zahler family musicians. I play the piano very well. It's the first thing I go to when I get home from the nanny's. I hit a key and the music plays and when it stops, I hit it again and the music starts again.
(I look like this while I'm playing the piano. Hey she's pretty cute. maybe I can get her number...)
Then, after a while, I will practice my drumming. (Hey Uncle Josh- You've got competition!!!) I can use my hands and my recorder/hammmer toy to drum on my metal bowl. I'm pretty good at it too!
For some reason, this makes mommy and daddy really happy and they clap and shout. I'll make sure mommy puts the video of me playing the piano and the drums on here so everyone can see.
Oh and I want to let you in on something. I know what grass tastes like!!! Last Sunday, daddy and mommy took me to the park and daddy and me crawled on the grass. Its so cool! I pulled up handfuls of the stuff. Of course, I had to taste it - much to mom's shock. Dad pulled it out of my mouth but I managed to keep some in my mouth. Then mom was sooooo rude. She shoved her finger in my mouth and scooped out the grass. See! I told you- SPOIL SPORT!
I think that's about it for now. Gotta go do something to make mommy and daddy notice me.
