Overdue photos and videos

Here is Ethan giving his best effort to get at or get out a 2 litre bottle of water out of the box.

Ethan's very first carousel ride. As you can see... he wasn't too sure about how he felt.

Still not so sure. Soon crying started so Gong Gong picked him up.

Hey its not so bad.. until the carousel guy tells you that adults aren't suppose to sit on the horses.

but that's ok since Ethan seemed to like the car better.

Here are the videos

Ethan hasn't been sleeping very well.

Ethan has been waking up during the weekend crying in his sleep. Not sure if it is because he got used to sleeping at Asungs or not. At home though, he likes to "Lai Trung" which means "Laze about in bed." in Mandarin. He happily plays on our bed rolling about, lifting his legs up in the air and slamming them down, rolling this way and that, sticking his butt in the air, standing up and plopping his butt on the bed and will actively search for a certain blanket to hold onto while he's playing or getting ready to sleep. Monday, Asung said that he cried awake while napping at her place. That night, we had Gong Gong and Ama come over and they helped give Ethan a bath. Then, they left when Auntie Jean, and her husband and their 4month old baby boy (Joshua/Josh) came over for a visit. They brought sweet potato fries, tempura fries and traditional Lu wei: Tempura stewed in soya sauce and gifts! A cute traditional chinese outfit for Ethan and a Chinese Traditional Halter top. Ethan loved the sweet potato fries- he couldn't get enough of them and this was after he already had more than half a jar of baby food. Copious amounts of water and for dessert we had Soybean Jello with Red Bean in syrup water. He liked that as well. Ethan was very good with Joshua who was lying on his play mat. We all hope they can be good friends someday. Around 9pm we got ready for bed. Ethan was very active rolling about on the bed, sucking his thumb while trying to get comfy sleeping. After drinks of water, a bottle, and nappy changes at different times of the night, I put him in his grobag and he seemed to sleep better at least no rolling about. On waking today, he was pretty happy, waiting for his nappy to be changed and then sat up grinning, then he decided to plop back down onto the bed except for he misjudged how close his head was to the wall and bumped his head. Ouch! Poor Guy. Within a minute or two he was fine and we were off to Asung's. She noted how his eyes were puffy- I brought his blanket over that he likes so maybe he'll sleep better today. Sure hope so.

May 27th-29th- Momma's sick n' the weekend

Hey, It's Ethan. Mommy was really sick and stayed home to rest on Monday and went to work all dizzy with no voice the other days of the week. Me on the other hand got to stay at Asung's for four days and had the time of my life. Learned to walk really well too! Got to play with San Jeh's two boys, Hank and Kevin. Also have learned to drink out of bottles and cups and like juice. Mommy was much better by Thursday and Friday and so I went home with her on those evenings. It's been raining lots which is a bummer since I love going on walks. I make sure that when Gong Gong comes over, he knows that he in charge of taking me for walks. A ma is in charge of feeding me and talking to me non stop and momma is there for playing, diaper changes, baths, walks and feeding too and all the rest. Obviously she wasn't up for taking many videos or pictures but i'll make her get around to posting them on the site soon. Saturday Rosalind moved in. She is going to living in our place when mommy, daddy and I are in England. I'm not sure how I feel about her yet but i've only seen her on two short occasions. We went out to the supermarket with Ama. Sunday, I took Ama, Gong Gong and Mommy out for a morning walk in Feng Le Park because it hadn't started raining yet. I got to see the fish, turtles and ducks. Gong Gong also took me on the Carousel Ride but I didn't much like it. So he held me for most of it. Then we went on the playground and mom held my hands as I walked across the bridges and we both slid down the slide together. That was alot of fun. After, mommy and I went home for a nap. When we woke up, it was already late afternoon so we went to Ama and Gong Gong for dinner. A ma made me wontons- yummy. And I surprised them all by walking all over the house without sitting down. (Sometimes, i'd put my hand against a wall or cabinet for a bit of support) Then Ama taught me to go up stairs! I'm a pretty quick learner and as mom or Gong Gong stood behind me (just in case) I made it all the way up to the top!! But I can't go down yet. Mommy says we will definately need a gate when we are in England. I also surprised mommy when Ama gave me a straw in a cup of a water and I sipped the water up! So now I have a pretty cool straw sippy cup. That's it for now. Oh and I almost forgot. I've kinda gotten over the coolness of saying hi and bye to everyone or people. I'd rather stick my arm out and tell the person where I want to go instead. Oh and I giggle or laugh at random things. Talk to you later, Ethan.
