Daddy Say's Hi

Hi Ethan. You are changing everyday and you are obviously going to be a lot more handsome then me ;-) Although I'm not with you, I'm thinking of you everyday and Mummy tells me everything you do. I hear you have a seventh tooth coming through. You make sure you put all those teeth to good use and bite mummy at every opportunity you get. I'm so proud of you being able to stand up by yourself. I look forward to seeing you hopefully soon.

Another fantastic day

Hey it's mommy. Today, Ethan and I had a great day. He started the day of with lots of mwamamamas. Which he usually does right before he has his bottle. We played with his toys for a bit and then Ama and Gong Gong came over and we went for a drive but as it was around 8:00am nothing was open. Later, we came back and we all went to JingMing 1st street where Ama and mommy got to some shopping. Ethan got a Tommy Hilfiger Gray Fleece jacket for 250nt and 3 NEXT shirts that were only 150nt. Mommy got some jeans for 150nt as well. Then we went for a drive again and came back for a nap which not only Ethan needed but so did I. He had a great bath splashing around and we played with the toys together. He had no signs of sleeping despite having taken his medicine so we got online to see if daddy was online and Ethan babbled to him, tried to eat the web cam, tear apart the headphones etc. Then finally he started getting sleepy. We had a bit of a head-tickle session and he broke out is peals of laughter. It's as if his daddy is here playing with him since daddy can make Ethan laugh like crazy. Here is a video of him just before he fell asleep. Cute noises. He's never made them before. Pretty darn adorable.

The Last Three Days

The last 3 days mommy's cold has been getting bad and I still have a pretty runny nose and a bit of a cough so we made an agreement that I would stay overnight with Asung (the nanny) Thursday and Friday night so mommy could get some good sleep and get better so that we can stop giving each other colds. I mean really. One of us needs to get better to look after the other one right? I had my first Valentine's Day at Asung's but they didn't celebrate and i'm not really interested in girls yet.... well that's not true, I like to flirt with pretty and cute women. They luv me and always want to take pictures of me. Like today for example. The weather finally got warm and I was soooooooooo excited cuz mommy and I went for a walk around Jing Ming 1st street. As I was in the Baby Bjorn carrier, I spotted four pretty girls- maybe early 20's behind mommy and leaned way over to right to get a better look. That was enough to make mommy turn around and those 4 girls were all ooohing and ahhhing over me. I so get a kick out of all the attention and ham it up for them. One of the girls snapped a photo of mommy and me on her phone and asked me to autograph it but I can't write yet. Yesterday, mommy decided it was my turn to go see the doctor for my runny nose since it had been runny for more than a week and a half. She's pretty good now about not giving medicine because I used to hate taking it. I got weighed and i'm not embarrassed to tell you that I weigh 9.2kilograms. I'm getting chubbier again which mom is relieved. I keep trying to tell her that when I go through a growth spurt, my face and thighs slim down but she forgets. (Mommy:It's true.. i did forget and just to let you know, Ethan is now wearing 12-18months clothing even though he's just 9 months old.) Hey! It's not my fault I have long legs and torso. It's not like you and dad are short!!! Well anyways, I got some medicine and it make me sleepy but it stops my runny nose and I hear sleep is good when your sick so that you recover faster. Hope so. Mommy, Gong Gong and Ama are really proud of me because now I take my medicine really well. (Mommy: It's in a thimble sized cup mixed with 5cc of warm water and he just sips it until its gone and goes back to playing.YAY!- no more struggling, tears, choking, gasping and wailing cries) I'm also starting to talk more and I respond to "No no!! Ethan. No No!!" when I grab a toy that isn't mine and then i will give it back cuz i'm a nice boy. But I get my kicks sometimes when I go off crawling and Ama, Gong Gong and mommy try to lure me back with the "No no" thing. Then I just stop, look over my shoulder, smile and laugh and keep going. I'm pretty darn fast at crawling now! Well, mommy just gave me the medicine and i'm feeling pretty sleepy so i'm going to have a lie down. You all take care, Luv ya!

My surprise for Mommy and Daddy!!!!!!

Mommy and I had a great sleep last night. I had a feed at quarter to 4am and mommy woke me up accidently by sneezing. That was ok cuz I was hungry and did a poop in my nappy. So I had my bottle, got changed and we went to Asung's. I was practicing my surprise all day unbeknownst to mommy, daddy, Ama or Gong Gong. I even smiled alot today and San jeh took many pictures of me that mommy will post soon. It was one of the coldest days in Taichung but Asung bought me some new clothes and I was wearing the cool hat daddy got me from England. Then when mommy came to pick me up. I played it cool. I did my one knee kneeling and one leg out pose with arms wide open and then I did my surprise! Check it out!

You should have seen mommy's reaction. You would think that I was the most amazing baby in the whole world. Silly how grown ups get excited about these things.

Tough night due to the bad stuffed nose monster.

Mommy here... Ethan had a tough night last night. We are both still getting over our colds and his nose was pretty blocked up, which created breathing difficulties. He woke crying and gasping every 2 hrs or so. At 4am, he had a feed and finally had some solid sleep until 6:30am when I had to get him ready for the nanny's. He woke up while I was putting his jacket on and off we went yawning and bleary eyed to the nanny's. Despite still being groggy, he was happy to see Asung and leant towards her right away to be held. We chatted a bit and then off to work. I must say thank goodness for instant Nescafe Caramel Macchiato coffee- woke me up and put me in a great mood for work. After work , picked him up from the nanny's. He seemed quiet and not his usual go go personality maybe cuz of the cold medicine he had taken at the nanny's but when we got home and started playing our precious baby boy was back and having fun with his new toys. Before we knew it was 9pm, His last feed was at 5pm. So got his bottle ready and into his Grobag. By then he was already half asleep. Gave him his bottle and he drank while sleeping. So now i'm off to dreamland to join him. Tomorrow, we can sleep in a bit longer since mommy needs to go to the post office to pick up two letters for daddy before going into work! Yay! Busy Day!

Hi!

Today was a busy day! Mom and me went for a walk down to Tea Street, picked up some Prunes and plums baby food- to keep me from getting constipated- how embarrassing. Then Ama and Gong Gong came over and took us to Carrefour. When we got back home, mom and Gong Gong ruined all my fun cuz look what I can do!!!



Yup! I can pull myself to standing position and just when I thought I was sooo cool, mom and Gong Gong lowered my crib to the lowest setting and then put another bumper along the back and right side of my crib so I don't bump my head but now I can't pull things of my change table!!!!!! Spoil sports!

Anyways, at least I can see her through the front slats of my crib.

Tomorrow, I get to spend my day at the Nanny Tang's (Asung/ Bao Mu). To be honest, even though it was nice to spend the last week with mommy, I miss all the people who visit and play with me and all the noise at Asung's place. It'll be nice to go there during the week again.

Well, I went to sleep at 7:30pm last night and woke up at 2:30am this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed waiting for a bottle which mommy was nice enough to get for me. Then went back to sleep all by myself in my crib. I was nice enough not to wake up until 7:30am this morning so mommy could get some sleep.

Tonight... I went to sleep at 6:30pm right after my bath and bottle soooo.... maybe i'll wake up at 1:30am? I hope not for mom's sake since she has to get up at 6am to get both of us ready so I can go to Asung's and she can go to work...

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy, this is my gift to you! See what I can do now?

This morning I was super nice to mommy and woke up at 9:30am. Both of us got a really good rest. Then later, we went for a walk. It was really cold but mommy bundled me up in a ton of clothes and then wrapped this huge polar fleece blanket around the both of us so we both got really warm , really fast. We decided to take a walk down to the baby store on Daye Rd. near our place and mommy picked out some discounted but really cool toys for me. I really like toys that make noise and since i'm kneeling alot and trying to push my self up to standing, some new toys would really help. All the ones in the house don't make much noise except my piano and shape sorter box.

Ofcourse I liked the boxes that the toys came in the best and between you and me, I think mommy was more excited to play with the toys then I was. The dumptruck makes some cool noises and I like the Rollaround balls that go into the caterpillar- They taste good - but my favorite thing to do is sitting on the lion ( the walker /handle part lies flies to form a seat) and smacking its nose so it giggles, lights up and makes music. I still need help to move on it while I'm sitting and I can't stand and walk with it yet but i'll get there.

Then afterwards, I had a nap for a couple hrs. I woke up a couple times cuz my tummy hurt- it's what happens when I can't burp.

After I woke up, I had a bottle and mommy made me burp/ YAY!!!!! - I don't seem to burp really well- but this time she managed to do it and a whole bunch of icky stuff came out- that's cuz i'm still getting over a cold. But boy did I feel much better afterwards. Then we went to pick up Ama. Mommy had to go to E- Zhong Street to pick up her eyeglasses.

On the way, I did a huge poop which was a good thing seeing as I thought I might have been a bit constipated. No more baby jar food mommy!!! So I was on a roll- burping and pooing all done!

Then, after picking up her eyeglasses, mommy took me into the E-Zhong market area to buy Gee Pie (Huge Flattened piece of Fried Chicken) . Ama waited in the car cuz she's not suppose to walk too much after her knee surgery.

There were tons of people since it is the 2nd day of Chinese New Year Break. It was crowded and squishy but I loved all the people. Mom just shoved her way through the crowds and people got out of the way for us probably cuz i'm so cute- ahaahah-just kidding.

Afterwards we dropped A-ma back at her place with the car smelling like fragrant fried chicken. Then we came back home. Mom and me played while I was in the walker for awhile. So much fun- The laundry hanger is in the house and I managed to pull mommy's shirt and one of my washcloths right off it onto the floor. Then I had a bath and splashed water everywhere. Then my bottle and then I fell asleep- at 7:30pm!!!!

Well, mommy better get some sleep too since i', probably going to wake up early tomorrow morning.... I love you daddy. Hope you had a great time in London!!!
