Ethan actually has two new bottom teeth not one!

Yup ! He has two teeth and to Gong Gong (Mr. Lin) and my surprise, he can bite pretty darn hard with bottom teeth! Our precious baby boy is growing in leaps and bounds. After holding him for about 15 minutes or more , you can start to feel the burn in your biceps. HAHA! He now loves to whip his head left to right and vice versa in an attempt to take in as much of his surroundings as possible. As for sitting up, we are still working on it but his balance is getting better and he is lightening quick when rolling from back to front and vice versa. Just last Friday, he did something new to the delight of the nanny, Adam and I. When she says: "Ethan, Bao Bao. Ni yao bu yao wo bao bao" (Translation: Do you want me to pick you up?). He will raise both hands in the air and lean towards you. Of course Adam tried in Chinese but it worked better when he tried it in English. He also has started to whinge when I arrive to pick him up. He wants his mommy and its nice to be wanted after a long day's work. Ethan has also started whacking the sofa, bed, his parents or whatever is in his reach with his left and right arm. Adam and I are expecting bruises on our limbs any day now. HeeHee. (He sure slaps hard!) As well, Ethan and I grow through the daily struggle of filing his nails. He complains VERY LOUDLY as I try my best to smooth the sharp as a knife fingernail edges. Of course he has Adam's fingernail so they are incredibly hard to cut with the safety baby nail scissors. Adam helps by trying to distract him - which so far is working- we shall see how long that lasts. This weekend, the weather has finally cooled down and there was a lovely breeze on Saturday and Sunday. Adam and I took Ethan to a different park on each day. I will post pictures soon seeing as I forgot the camera cable at home today and i'm at work. Ahh and our little baldy's hair is growing back quite quickly. I'm sure by the end of the month, he will have a full head of hair. As for Adam, we are all keeping in high spirits. We found out that he has Chronic Renal Failure. Ethan is a great help keeping Adam busy and entertained. Cooking is a bit challenging now that he can not use salt in any form- so it's goodbye HP sauce, Bovril, Soy sauce etc. Mind you yesterday, we made some great fried clear noodles, broccoli, snow peas (mange- tout) ,and mushrooms seasoned with all kinds of spices and lemon juice. His blood pressure seems to be lowering which is good and things are underway for follow up procedures. We all may be on our way to the UK in November or December. Adam is planning to stay at least 3 months or more and Ethan and I will return to Taiwan after a month. We are still in planning stages. Other interesting news on the Lin side. Big brother, Joe and his family will be moving to Singapore for a year and a half as Joe has been promoted as Creative Director and will be managing and setting up the branch there- so we wish them all the best and look forward to visiting them there. Little brother, Jeff has some news too. His daughter, Taylor managed to catch a huge pike when fishing but was very angry at the fish for splashing her. Jeff went goose hunting with friends. He had a shot gun with 3 shots while his buddies has automatic rifles. Jeff was the only one who killed a goose but he thinks it was out of shock that the goose died. It was only until they cooked it that they found there was quite a bit of buck shot in it.(gun powder)- ahahahah. Me- Joanne- Yesterday, while Ethan was napping, I was curious enough to wonder if my navel piercing had closed up since I had to take out the navel ring during the last few months of the pregnancy. So, I went and got an earring and tried to put it through the belly. Amazingly enough, it went through. So, that evening, after our family walk through the park, we went to Feng Jia Night Market and I got two navel rings. I took Ethan into the shop with me seeing as there was no place for Adam to park the car so he did a big circle while I made my purchase. While browsing, Ethan was making his move, flirting away with the pretty sales clerk- smiling and smiling. It wasn't until after I had made my selections that I found out there were 4 young men behind me fawning over Ethan. He has fans!!! They thought he was the cutest baby ever. Then we all went home and I proceeded to push a navel ring (with a much thicker diameter than an earring) through it. It's very pretty and i'll post the pic soon. Gong Gong will be going for a trip to Edmonton, Canada I believe in late October - early November and A- Ma will be going in for Knee replacement surgery when he gets back so it will be interesting to see if she can stand being cooped up in the house for at least a few months. She is going to do one knee at a time. So hopefully, Ethan and I will be back to Taiwan to help her through her recovery. And that is it for now. Take care all of you and thank you for your prayers for Adam's continued health! Joanne
