Happy 5 Month Birthday Ethan!

Wow, Time has flown by and our little angel baby is now 5 months old. Adam and I had to work this past Saturday since we got Monday and Tuesday off due to a holiday. Actually it was only the Tuesday but the government gave the schools and businesses the Monday off but you had to make up for it on the Sat. So yesterday (Sunday) Ethan, Adam and I spent a tiring but fun day together. I'm still suffering from not enough sleep since the past few days, Ethan has been waking in the night with a loud, short burst of a cry. Adam and I wake to this "alarm" and go peek in his cot which is beside our bed and he is sound asleep. On the rare occasion, he wants mommy to hold him while he sleeps. (Which was the case on Sunday morning from 3:30- 6:30am.) Middle of last week, we started feeding him formula to supplement my breastmilk since it's lessening because he isn't nursing directly from me. He still prefers breastmilk to formula but we are slowly getting him used to it. Maybe this is why he is crying? Breastmilk withdrawal symptoms? We also think, he may be going through another growth spurt since Saturday, he drank alot of milk before nap time -about 180ml at A - ma and A-gong and then another 120ml when he got back home. Thus the resulting 3 poops on Sunday ( morning, noon and evening)- a sticky olive green mud consistency- blechh! ( haahaa - just thought I would share it with you all- ) Those nappies were F - U - L - L ! It must have been building up from the previous day. He's also learned how to turn over from his back to his front with amazing speed and agility. I think in a few more days he'll be crawling since he shoves his butt into his air and pushes with his legs. We'll try to capture this on video for you all to see. Adam and I are hoping we don't have to put guardrails on our bed to pen him in. (Just joking) The best part is that he can grab his foot and shove his toes into his mouth. It's so adorable and cute. Oh and anyone know a good use for drool? Ethan manages to soak the front of his shirt in seconds. If there was a drooling contest, i'm sure he'd get first prize. At least he likes putting things into his mouth so when we give him a handkercheif, he wipes his own mouth. And I must mention that its great when he laughs. Adam can just make faces at him and he giggles and laughs. It's the happiest sound in the world. Oh and i'm not sure if I mentioned it already, but his eyes are a solid brown with a black line outside of it. Oh and another fantastic piece of news: I CAN FIT INTO ALL MY PRE- PREGNANCY CLOTHES AGAIN! I'm actually thinner than I was before our wedding in England! The other change is that i'm losing a ton of hair. After a shower, there are clumps of it in the drain and when I brush my hair , their is a handful of it in the hairbrush and the floor looks like the floor of a hairsalon just after a haircut. Surprisingly, the hair that is left on my head hasn't become too thin and there are no bald patches yet- ahaaha. That's it for now.
