The busiest week by far

This week, Ethan had something to go to or do everyday of the week and boy was he up for it after a miserable time of it over the weekend. Monday- I woke up to find him lying awake quietly in his sleep sac. Got him out of it and he literally bounded off his bed, grabbed his bei bei (blanket) and whipped open his bedroom door say "C'mon mom!" Yes our little boy was back and raring to go! This would be every morning this week!) We went to Toddle in at the Methodist in the morning and meet up with friends from school and some moms we haven't seen in months. It was great! Tuesday- He got to spend the day with Mama and PapaZee (While Adam and I went into Preston for his check up and had a very nice lunch) and was so happy to be there he wouldn't even take a nap. They did some shopping, went for a drive and did crafts played animal dominoes, played dinosaurs much to his delight, . Wednesday- We went into Lancaster for Slingmeet, which is a group of moms with kids who carry their children in sling, wrap, mei tais and other soft carriers. It was great and Ethan and I got to meet some very lovely moms and kids. Then afterwards we went for a grocery shop. Ethan was absolutely the best and fell asleep on the way back . This was also Adam and I's, 3 year wedding anniversary but neither of us remembered. LOL) Thursday- We slept in a bit and then had a late breakfast and went to Stay and Play during the afternoon. It's at the Looking Well in Bentham and is put on by Sure Start Children's Centre for little kids and it's free. This week's theme was Aliens in Underpants- a book and we got to be outside since it was a sunny day. Kids were decorating paper underpant, they went on a space mission and walked around like astronauts, made play doh aliens with googly eyes, and Ethan painted his very own moon rock. He even had milk in a plastic glass without spilling and kindly asked the lady "Can I have some, please?" and lots of running around and playing with all sorts of toys. Ethan's favorite was a wand with very long ribbons attached to it. He had a blast swishing it about. On the way home- 5 minutes- he fell asleep. After a 2 hr nap, dinner and bath and back to bed, it wasn't till Adam and I were watching Big brother, that he reminded me that Friday would be his 1 year kidney transplant anniversary. The word anniversary made me think of when our wedding anniversary and we both had a bit of a giggle when we realized we hadn't done anything for each other because we both forgot!!!! Woops maybe we will do something next week. Friday- We went to Leck Playgroup for Lily's 2nd birthday party which was super fun and the kids got to play outside as the weather has been fabulous. There were great sandwiches, fruit, cake and juice. Then in the afternoon, we went to Anita, Joseph's and Reuben's farm. I got hopelessly lost but found it in the end- ahahahaah- The boys loved having Ethan there and Ethan got to jump on their big trampoline and see chickens in a hen house that Anita's husband built!! Best of all for Ethan, he got ice cream with strawberry sauce and sprinkles!!! What a treat. Again on the way back, he fell asleep... trend happening? And today- Saturday We got up around 9am and ate breakfast. Went upstairs and Ethan did his own makeup and hair while I did mine. After wet wiping off all the blusher and eye shadow, I then had to figure out what to do with the clumps of hair wax he rubbed into his hair so added more and it all stuck up in grand mohican fashion. Very Uncle Dan- like! Cool! Caught up with Ama and Gong Gong by msn video call and then set off for Skipton- about 45min to Sophie, Daniel and Samuel's place for Samuel's 2nd birthday party. Managed to get there no problem at all and Ethan and I had a wonderful time. Sandpit, play frame and slide, bikes, balls ride on toys and Ethan's eyes almost fell out with excitement, when Sophie's husband brought out a bag and inflated a bouncy castle for the toddlers. They played pass the parcel and Ethan didn't want to go home, he liked it so much. A parting gift of chewy candies and a Thomas the Tank Engine Sticker Album was so very kind and thoughtful and of course he fell asleep on the way back. He should be up soon so I better be going. The only thing we didn't do this week was take photos of anything!!! Too busy!!!!
