Ethan is two!!!

Go Ethan Go! Ethan had a great Diego Themed birthday party. Here is Ethan's birthday cake made and decorated by me. Thus the fluorescent orange icing. (Now I know why we buy birthday cakes.) Unfortunately, we so excited about singing happy birthday that we failed to get it on camera of him blowing out his 2 shaped candle all by himself. Great Gramps Ron and Great Granny Phyllis came over and Anita with her two sons, Joseph and Reuben. Anne and Luke came over as well as Helen and Erin. The sun was shining for his whole party from 10-1pm and then it started to rain just after everyone had left. How perfect. The kids all had a lovely time playing in the sandpit and slide in the backyard and were very good playing and sharing toys. Juice and cupcakes were enjoyed by all. Daddy was a big help making tea, coffee and keeping everyone happy.
The gift opening was amazing. Ethan got so many incredible gifts. The book 'The Gruffalo" from Luke, an 'In the Night Garden Activity' Book which is a favorite and tee shirt from Erin, a cool green digger from Joseph and Reuben, a 'Puff the magic dragon book and outfit from Great Granny and Great Gramps. Then he had a nap after the party only to wake up to even more gifts from a neighbor across the street who gave him a cool fire engine book and mama and papa zee who brought a sand pit digger, toy planes and helicopter, and a brilliant table and chair set which he adores. He opened Uncle Rob and Anna's gift of a JCB wooden truck and trailer, Uncle Dan's gift of a cool frog sprinkler that you attach to a water hose and a sand bucket, with shovel, rake and watercan- all his favorites. He was so excited!!!!! Then just when it couldn't get any better, he got Uncle Josh's Dumptruck, cement truck and tow truck!!
Later that evening, he opened mom and dad's gift of a Diego bouncing ball and Harry and the Bucketful of stories book which he really liked as well.
His birthday didn't end on Friday because on Saturday, Mama and Papa Zee revealed an incredible Water and Sandpit table.!!!!! The lid is like a road perfect for his cars, planes and helicopter!!
It might have been too much for him all this excitement as he came down with a fever Friday night and was feverish, sick and not himself until Monday when he felt much better. Needless to say he still enjoyed Saturday for Uncle Josh's birthday.
