Ethan's an escape artist!

We have recently been taking turns reading to Ethan at night in his bedroom and then waiting until he falls asleep, then one of us lies down on the single mattress beside his toddler bed and goes to bed to get him used to his room. This has gone on a bit longer than we planned as Adam had quite a bad cold and then I got a cold so we both slept separately. Last night after putting Ethan to bed, we watched a dvd and then both went to bed in our room . Ethan was brilliant. He awoke cryi ng once in the night, gave him a cuddle and some milk and went back to sleep. This morning we woke to him crying at 8am. I got my blanket and pillows and prepared to join him in his room only to discover he wasn't there. He was crying at the bottom of the stairs!!! What makes this quite impressive and scary was that he sleeps in a grobag(sleeping sac) -he had woken up, managed to undo his zip on his sleeping bag, take it off and walk downstairs to find us but we obviously weren't there! Thus the crying. Maybe we should put a baby gate across his door... Joanne
